Act 48 of 1999 requires all Pennsylvania educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification to participate in ongoing professional education. Shippensburg University’s Office of Workforce Development offers many trainings which fulfill that requirement.

In order for your training to be awarded Act 48 credit, please fill out the Act 48 Credit Request form (click the button below). Once our office receives your request, we will contact you within two business days confirming your submission. We will verify your participation in the training and that the training was authorized as an Act 48 approved training. Once our office has that information, we will submit your hours to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). You will receive an additional notification upon submission of your hours to PDE.
